Restore purchases and refunds
Restore an existing Premium subscription without another charge, manage renewal, or ask Apple to review a refund request.
1. When to restore
Use Restore purchases if:
- You reinstalled Tellune or got a new phone
- Premium is missing after a successful App Store payment
- You see the paywall even though your subscription is still active
Restore asks Apple for purchases tied to the Apple Account signed in on this device. It doesnot charge you again for an active subscription.
2. Restore in the app
- Open Tellune on your iPhone.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Restore purchases.
- Wait for the confirmation. You should see either Premium restored orNothing to restore.
You can also restore from the paywall screen if Tellune offers a Restore control there.
3. Same Apple Account
Premium is tied to your Apple Account, not to a Tellune login. Sign into the same Apple Account you used when you subscribed, then restore.
- iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases (or Subscriptions) — confirm the Apple Account.
4. Manage or cancel the subscription
Billing and cancellation live in the App Store, not inside a Tellune account page:
In Tellune, if Premium is already active, Settings may open your store’s subscription management URL directly.
Cancelling stops future renewal but does not itself refund a past charge.
5. Request a refund from Apple
Apple processes App Store payments and decides whether a purchase is eligible for a refund. Tellune cannot issue an App Store refund or promise that Apple will approve one. Requesting a refund is different from cancelling renewal.
- Open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
- Choose Request a refund and select the reason.
- Select the Tellune subscription, then submit the request.
Apple says an update is usually available within 24–48 hours. Eligibility can vary by country or region, and any rights you have under local consumer law still apply.
6. If restore finds nothing
Check these in order:
- You are signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
- The subscription is still active (not expired or refunded) in the store’s subscription list.
- You purchased Premium for Tellune, not a different chat app.
- You have a network connection, then try Restore again.
Family Sharing and regional storefront differences can also block restore. Apple’s subscription page is the source of truth for whether a purchase exists.
7. Still stuck?
Email support@tellune.app with your iPhone model, iOS version, and roughly when you subscribed. We can help troubleshoot access, but Apple controls refund decisions. Do not send chat exports, payment-card details, or screenshots of private messages.
